212 Renovations Group completed a kitchen and bathroom gut renovation for a residential project at 79 East 79th Street on the Upper East Side. The scope included solid rift white oak cabinetry with Venetian plaster inlays, end-grain wood flooring, bathroom stone work, high-gloss lacquered ceilings, and installation of a Chesney's fireplace mantle.

Where the schedule was won

The schedule was set by finish sequencing, not by the millwork. Venetian plaster inlays set into solid oak cabinetry, under high-gloss lacquered ceilings — cure times and dust dictate the order those go in, and neither finish tolerates being rushed for the other. About forty-four weeks start to finish.

What the detail required

The scope required integrating Venetian plaster inlays directly into solid rift white oak kitchen cabinetry alongside high-gloss lacquered ceiling finishes and the installation of a Chesney's fireplace mantle.
